Location. The Outrigger Reef on the Beach stands along Waikiki Beach amid Honolulu, Hawaii's active dining, nightclub and entertainment district. Fort DeRussy Park is located adjacent to the hotel. Hotel Features. An expansive two story lobby leads to two dining venues, the oceanfront Shore Bird restaurant, and the Ocean House seafood and steakhouse restaurant. Live music is performed nightly. Karaoke crooners compete at the Shore Bird restaurant. A Starbucks outlet serves specialty coffee drinks and pastries. This property's business center contains four computer stations, and offers fax and photocopy services. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas of the hotel. Recreational amenities include a fitness center with Precor cardiovascular machines, weight training equipment and free weights. Outdoor pools include one adults only option. Three spa tubs border the pool area. Serenity Spa offers a menu of massage treatments, facials and manicures. Children's activities include lei making and hula dancing lessons. Surfing lessons, outrigger canoe rides and catamaran cruises are available for a fee at the resort's beach. Other leisure diversions include an interactive humpback whale kiosk and craft demonstrations.
Guestrooms. This 10 story hotel offers 639 guestrooms distributed among three towers. Most accommodations extend onto balconies. Rooms are equipped with high speed Internet access for a fee, flat screen televisions and MP3 adaptors. Laptop compatible in room safes are provided. Beds feature feather pillows, beige linen comforters and white cotton sheets. Bathrooms are stocked with Outrigger Spa toiletries and contain shower/tub combinations. Rooms are equipped with coffeemakers and MicroFridges.
Expert Tip. One complimentary scuba lesson per person is offered within the security of the main pool every day except Sundays. Dedicated married couples who wouldn't hesitate to take the plunge a second time can dive into a Hoi Hou Ke Aloha wedding renewal ceremony held on Waikiki Beach two mornings each week. Renovation Notice: The hotel's pool is scheduled to be closed for renovations from January 7 to March 3, 2008. These dates are subject to change. During the pool renovation period, guests receive complimentary access to pools at two nearby properties, and guests receive a $100 dining voucher per room per three day stay. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations to its front driveway and porte cochere. The estimated completion date is September 1, 2008. This date is subject to change.

From Honolulu International Airport: Approximate distance to the hotel is 10.5 miles.
Exit the airport toward Waikiki/Honolulu. Travel east toward Waikiki/Honolulu. Take H1 Freeway East. Follow signs toward Waikiki/Nimitz Highway. Nimitz Hwy/Ala Moana Boulevard becomes Kalakaua Avenue. Turn right onto Beach Walk. The hotel is located straight ahead.
